DAVID DE SILVA

David De Silva is is known as "father Fame". He conceived and produced the classic MGM motion picture FAME (1980) and two stage musicals inspired by it, FAME  - THE MUSICAL and FAME FOREVER - REUNION AND REBIRTH". The musical FAME is now being performed on every continent and in almost every language. Its youth-oriented idealism of pursuing the performing arts in education will always be an inspiration to young people everywhere. www.famenetwork.com

JOSE FERNANDEZ

(Book)

Jose Fernandez began his theatrical career as an actor. His Broadway credits include The Me Nobody Knows, Hard Truckload and Two Gentlemen of Verona. His career as a writer began with the off-Broadway musical, El Bravo!, produced by Kenneth Waissman. Beginning in 1984, Jose Fernandez collaborated with David De Silva on transforming Fame into a new and timeless musical. Born in Havana, Cuba, on August 19, 1948, he died of AIDS on January 8, 1994.

JACQUES LEVY

(Lyricist)

Jacques Levy has written lyrics for many well-known recording artists. With Bob Dylan he wrote the album Desire and the hit single Hurricane. Jacques has written albums with Roger McGuinn for The Byrds and for McGuinn's solo work including the classic single Chestnut Mare and Lover of the Bayou. His lyrics have been recorded by Carly Simon, Crystal Gayle, Joe Cocker, Jerry Lee Lewis and soprano Jan DeGaetan. He has written lyrics for five musicals including Oh, Calcutta! and The Golden Land and has been nominated for three Grammys. Mr. Levy is currently head of the theatre program at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York.

STEVE MARGOSHES

(Composer)

Steve Margoshes has has composed for orchestras, pop music groups, and vocalists. He's written a large body of vocal works and "pops" symphonic music that have been extensively recorded. The symphonic works, recorded by the Budapest Symphony on Albany Records, in part feature Margoshes as piano soloist. His original score of FAME - THE MUSICAL has been performed in twelve languages on every continent. Most recently, Steve has composed the music for FAME FOREVER, a musical that brings together the original characters to celebrate a twenty-year reunion and rebirth. The show premiered in Glasgow, Scotland. Steve's orchestrations were featured in both the New York production, as well as the Jim Steinman/ Roman Polanski version, of DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES (Tanz Der Vampire) which recently celebrated its tenth year of performances in Austria and Germany. His other orchestrating credits include many of the major Broadway rock scores: TOMMY, AIDA, SMOKEY JOE'S CAFE, GREASE (the Tommy Tune revival), the Boy George musical TABOO, the Beach Boys' GOOD VIBRATIONS and BIG RIVER, Roger Miller's musical version of Huckleberry Finn. Steve has received two Drama Desk Award for orchestrations.

MICHAEL MCFADDEN

(Director/Artistic Producer)

Michael McFadden is the co-founder and artistic director of Phoenix Entertainment. Michael has guided over 70 major productions as Producer and/or Director in both the national and international touring entertainment industry. After completing his MA from Montclair University, he quickly became an award winning director for Used Carlotta, and Three Tits in the Washington D.C. area. In 1999, he and partner Stephen Kane started Phoenix Entertainment with a mission to produce new and established musical theatre projects. Productions have included Godspell, Buddy, The Will Rogers Follies, Grease, Man of La Mancha, Gypsy, Ring of Fire and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Michael has directed many musicals on many continents including the Samsung production of 42nd Street in Seoul, the North American tour of The Pajama Game, Grease in Singapore and Macau and the International premier of the new holiday musical Sing Along Santa. He is currently developing a new international touring production of Fame launching in China, Bassic Rhythm, an original musical that explores the organic sound of the bass and is producing upcoming US tours of The Color Purple and Spamalot.

JOSHUA BERGASSE

(Choreographer)

Joshua Bergasse as a choreographer, BC/EFA's Gypsy of the Year Opening number for 2007 and 2008 (Broadway's New Amsterdam Theatre); Bomb-itty of Errors (Off-Broadway); Captain Louie (Off-Broadway); Fame (National Tour); West Side Story (Stratford Festival, NCT, Fulton, Barrington Stage); Solo Pido - Bianca Marroquin in concert! (Mexico City); Carousel, The World Goes Round (Barrington Stage) La Cage Aux Folles and Beehive (Riverside);  Smokey Joes Café (AMTSJ, Maltz Jupiter); Tommy and South Pacific (Cherry County); earlier this year Joshua created a new ballet for Indiana University entitled Love/Time.  Joshua has performed in the Broadway and/or National tours of Movin Out, Hairspray, The Life and West Side Story.   As an instructor, Joshua has been on the faculty at the Broadway Dance Center in New York City for the last 11 years and is a guest instructor for the Manhattan Dance Project, West Coast Dance Explosion, The Pulse, James Madison University, Shenandoah University, Indiana University and the University of California Satellite Program.  He is the founder and artistic director of the Musical Theater Performance Project, a new workshop produced by the Broadway Dance Center.

JASPER GRANT

(Music director)

Jasper Grant is quite humbled to be working on this groundbreaking tour of FAME.  An active Musical Director in New York City, he has worked on over 80 productions across the country including the National tours of Altar Boyz, The Wizard of OZ, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and Fame and regional favorites including Company, Hedwigang the Angry Inch, The King and I, Beehive, Damn Yankees, A Chorus Line, Merrily We Roll Along, Diamonds, Quilters, South Pacific, Jesus Christ Superstar, and The Wiz. A former faculty member of the University of San Diego, he was recently voted one of the top five audition pianists in New York City for 2008 and 2009 by Actors Equity Association. Training:  BFA, Boston Conservatory. Jasper would like to thank the Musical Theatre Class at the Central Academy of Drama in Beijing who showed him such kindness on his first trip to China last year and dedicates this production to them.   Live Forever!
